House Fly Habitat
House Flies live close to humans, in urban and rural areas. Because their larvae grow best in human garbage and feces, they are more common in urban areas. Their favorite environments are dung heaps, garbage cans, and roadkill. They also reproduce on rotted fruit and vegetables, old broth and boiled eggs
House Fly Life Cycle
Adults usually live 15 to 25 days, but can live up to two months. Without food, they survive only about two to three days. Longevity is enhanced by availability of suitable food, especially sugar. The house fly has a complete metamorphosis with distinct egg, larval or maggot, pupal and adult stages. The house fly overwinters in either the larval or pupal stage under manure piles or in other protected locations. Warm summer conditions are generally optimum for the development of the house fly, and it can complete its life cycle in as little as seven to ten days.

The first and most important thing that you can do is keep your home or business clean. This includes cleaning with a disinfectant, taking out the garbage and disposing of anything organic that has been sitting out for an extended period of time.
Preparation Steps for House Fly Treatment
Here are the preparation steps:

Recommended sanitation must be performed prior to any treatment. Fly traps may be used, in this case any trap should be left where the technician places them - Please do not disturb.
